Set in Uttar Pradesh, Chulbul Pandey is a young boy who lives with his mother Naini, stepfather Prajapati, and younger half-brother Makkhi. Chulbul is constantly angry that his step-father is always partial towards his own biological son. 21 years later, Chulbul is a rowdy, mischievous, and sometimes crooked cop, who refers to himself as "Robin Hood." He does everything in his own indomitable way; whether it's dealing with corrupt politician and thug Chedi Singh, fighting a family feud, or romancing stunning Rajo.

Karan Kapoor, Tanzing and Chandu complete their college studies, join hands with a black-marketeer, Archie, who gets them to travel to Bangkok for money-laundering purposes. En route they meet with leggy Jaipur-based Bulbul Singh, and after the completion of this mission, the foursome decide to put their heads together to get rich quickly. Karan disappoints his father, Sajjan, by giving up on getting an MBA Degree, and the four re-locate to New York where they proceed to scam businesses with considerable success, and Karan and Bulbul fall in love with each other. Money pours in, resulting in abuse, alcohol and bitterness; differences surface between the four, especially when a pregnant Bulbul finds out that Karan has married a woman named Pamela Sahni.

Slender, barely 5'2", assisting a dance troupe, Veera Kaur's dream is to represent the 9-time losing Indian Tigers cricket team. The team, led by Choudhary Vikramjeet Singh, have never won the Aman Cup against their rivals, Pakistan Champs, led by Pathan Liqayat Ali Khan. She dons the guise of a turbaned Sikh, complete with beard and mustache, and calls herself Veer Pratap Singh. In this way she manage to convince the new, rather arrogant and brash Team Captain, Rohan Singh, a British County Cricket all-rounder, and the son of Vikramjeet, to include her in this team. Things all appear to be going well until accusations are leveled against her for attempting to sexually molest Rohan's leggy girlfriend - none other than Miss Chandigarh 2008, Soniya Saluja - which may well blow her cover, and prevent her from ever playing for any Indian Cricket team.

Based in Cape Town, specializing in divorces, Jeet Oberoi warns his friends, Karan Malhotra and Bhavesh Patel, about the many disadvantages of being involved in a married relationship. He indicates that marriages result in divorce, if it is a love marriage than the groom digs his grave; and if is an arranged marriage, it is the groom's family that dig his grave. Scoffing at this, Karan gets married with his sweetheart, Sanjana Jugran, much to the chagrin of her dad; while conservative Bhavesh travels to Vishwamitri, Gujarat, along with his entire family, and gets married to a liberal Prachi Jadeja. Incompatibility issues will soon surface, compelling the duo to retain Jeet as legal counsel to expedite their respective divorce proceedings.

Employed as an Air Hostess with Spice Jet, Mumbai-based Preeti Sengupta has a boyfriend in Karan Malhotra. Both decide to rent an apartment near Oshiwara and share the rent. But when she notices that he is paying more attention to other females, she breaks up with him, and decides to rent a room to a female paying guest. She does find one in Neha Bhargav, an employee from a book store, who calls her 'Didi', agrees to pay the rent on time, and even does all the housework and cooking. Preeti does make up with Karan at the intervention of her neighbor, Madhusudan, but feels threatened by Neha, who is getting overly friendly with Karan. After Madhusudan's cat dies unexpectedly he decides to probe further into Neha's past - and it is this decision that will change everyone's lives forever.

K.K. Khosla (Anupam Kher) is a middle class man living in New Delhi. He is a simple man with simple tastes. The plot starts with a scene where Khosla dreams about his death. The irony is that nobody cares about his death; instead his children & neighbours are more interested in their materialistic needs. One early morning in Delhi, Khosla wakes up and plans to go to the site where he has purchased a plot to build his house. He is accompanied by his wife, eldest son Bunty (Ranvir Shorey), second son Chironji Lal Khosla (Parvin Dabas), and his daughter. When they reach the spot they find that the site has been occupied by someone else and on further investigation find that it has been captured by a property usurping nexus headed by a man named Kishan Khurana (Boman Irani). Khurana demands Rs. 15 lakhs to vacate the plot, which Khosla refuses to give. Bunty gathers few local strongmen and forcefully destroys the walls and re-occupies the plot...

Struggling to convince his new hotelier client, Kit Hawksin, Granger Woodruff is told by one Jennifer David that his identity has been compromised, and his credit card is being misused. While tracing transactions, both become friendly and agree to meet in San Francisco at the Hawksin Hotel. She does not show up, and Woodruff befriends an East Indian woman, Priya Sethi, who has come to attend a relative's marriage. Woodruff will get a rude awakening when he finds out that Priya is actually Jennifer - who is the fiancé of wealthy Mumbai-based Vikram Bhatia - and has traveled there without informing her family.
