Mumbai 11th July: Sameer Ali reads a verse from the Bhagvad Geeta to a dying hospitalized benevolent Hindu Pandit who had brought him after the passing of his Islamic parents; Looking for employment on an empty stomach, Bhola Paswan finds Biharis are hated and shunned; Gangster Ashfaq asks Noor Ahmed Khan, who, in turn, recruits former Naxalite Raja Shetty, to assassinate womanizing Builder Arun Talreja; An upper-caste Hindu politician, Shripad Shinde, forbids his son, Nachiket, to marry Asha Ambedkar, as she belongs to a lower Caste; Rendered homeless, Inspector Chandrakant Shinde is on the look-out for a stolen vehicle, and hates Biharis for taking over his house; TV Producer, Jennifer Ali, is attacked by Ashfaq during a party; Lower-caste Asha is stalked and molested by right-winged upper-caste Hindus; After being robbed and accused of stealing clothes, Sharada Bai prepares to attack her two-faced employer...

When Meghalaya-based Gogai attempts to molest his subordinate, Kalyani, her husband, Khogiram Maheshwar Gwala, also an employee, intervenes, a scuffle ensues, people gather and separate the duo, and an enraged Gogai fires them. Khogiram is unable to find a job; Kalyani does not make enough money weaving baskets; while their two children, Pinaki and Rimzim, have not only to deal with their respective Catholic schools, but also assist their parents, and share a pair of shoes. Things get even worse after Gogai gets killed, and Inspector Vishwajeet Khatonyar detains and interrogates Khogiram - suspecting him of not only killing Gogai but also having connections with terrorists.

Jai (Pawan), an orphan, is taken in and nurtured into a hard hitting ganster by Bhagwan (Jackie Shroff). When not busy kicking the hell out of rival gangs, he quenches his lack of love in his life by running a nursery with his pal Chotu (Ali). Meanwhile, Jai runs into a Greenpeace activist Sandhya (Sarah Jane Dias) and sparks fly between the duo. When Munna, Bhagawan's son, batters Jhanavi to death, he is bet to near death by an enraged Jai and eventually Munna gets killed. Bhagawan is enraged and is hell bent on revenge. An ultimate face-off between loyalty and morals ensues.

Delhi-6 attempts to exposes the dual face of a person. We all live in today's world pointing a finger at the other person for all that's going wrong around us. Looking for the devil who can be blamed. In reality the devil resides within us. The story is told dipping the pen in the ink of "chaos" the color of which is black. It's a story of a young American boy "ROSHAN" of Indian origin, who comes to India for the first time, to drop his ailing grandmother. She wants to die in her own soil, and so prepares for her own death. In America having lead a very western lifestyle Roshan wasn't aware of the sites and smells, the food and culture, the religion and beliefs, that an Indian society is filled with. After coming to India he interacts with his grandmother's neighborhood and seamlessly dissolves in as if one of them. Little does he know that the endearing people including his grandmother have another face that feeds the devil within - a devil that resides within each one of them!
