K.K. Khosla (Anupam Kher) is a middle class man living in New Delhi. He is a simple man with simple tastes. The plot starts with a scene where Khosla dreams about his death. The irony is that nobody cares about his death; instead his children & neighbours are more interested in their materialistic needs. One early morning in Delhi, Khosla wakes up and plans to go to the site where he has purchased a plot to build his house. He is accompanied by his wife, eldest son Bunty (Ranvir Shorey), second son Chironji Lal Khosla (Parvin Dabas), and his daughter. When they reach the spot they find that the site has been occupied by someone else and on further investigation find that it has been captured by a property usurping nexus headed by a man named Kishan Khurana (Boman Irani). Khurana demands Rs. 15 lakhs to vacate the plot, which Khosla refuses to give. Bunty gathers few local strongmen and forcefully destroys the walls and re-occupies the plot...

Prem Sahni lives a wealthy lifestyle in 'Rathod Residency' along with his wife, Sheetal; daughter, Pinky; runs Fountain Head Publications; is forgetful about birthdays, anniversaries, and would like to be a bachelor again. He wish does come partly true when Sheetal and Pinky decide to travel to Mysore to attend a relative's marriage. After their departure, Prem meets with a new neighbor, a popular model by the name of Twinkle Chopra, and decides to woo her. He does to get to meet her rather dramatically, and she appears to be attracted to him as well. The question remains: how far will Prem go with Twinkle?

After the passing of his Trinidad-based father, Surajratan Dhanraj, Casanova Tej is asked by the family solicitor, Vakil, to confirm with his father's last will - namely that he should not only marry Punjab-based Samarpreet Kapoor but must remain married to her for a period of 10 years - or else the entire estate will be transferred to an association that ensures the welfare of turtles and crabs. Tej and Vakil accordingly travel to Punjab, meet Samarpreet and her family, and the couple get married. Tej returns to Trinidad, mails a cheque every month, refuses to communicate with her, and continues with his lifestyle as though he was never married. He is friendly with a supermodel, Shimmer Canhai, and through her meets a young woman, Sammar Capore, and instantly falls in love with her. He accepts a bet with Shimmer that he will successfully woo and wed Sammar but is in for disappointment when she prefers the company of a male named Jigar. Tej sets out to ruin Jigar's career.

Struggling to convince his new hotelier client, Kit Hawksin, Granger Woodruff is told by one Jennifer David that his identity has been compromised, and his credit card is being misused. While tracing transactions, both become friendly and agree to meet in San Francisco at the Hawksin Hotel. She does not show up, and Woodruff befriends an East Indian woman, Priya Sethi, who has come to attend a relative's marriage. Woodruff will get a rude awakening when he finds out that Priya is actually Jennifer - who is the fiancé of wealthy Mumbai-based Vikram Bhatia - and has traveled there without informing her family. He will also incur her dad's (Rajeev) wrath, who has been compelled to travel there, along with his wife, Manju, to first locate, and then escort Priya back home to get her married to Vikram.
