Storyline:
Throughout history, tales of chivalry have burnished the legends of brave, handsome knights who rescue fair damsels, slay dragons and conquer evil. But behind many a hero is a good-for-nothing younger brother trying just to stay out of the way of those dragons, evil and trouble in general. Danny McBride and James Franco team up for an epic comedy adventure set in a fantastical world-Your Highness. As two princes on a daring mission to save their land, they must rescue the heir apparent's fiancée before their kingdom is destroyed. Thadeous (McBride) has spent his life watching his perfect older brother Fabious (Franco) embark upon valiant journeys and win the hearts of his people. If you like Danny McBride, which most of those thinking about attending this movie do, you'll find this movie entertaining. Danny plays Kenny Powers with an accent in this movie and I loved every bit of it. This movie probably isn't for the over 28 crowd, but if you're in college, or still wish you were and enjoy the abrasive comments and humor that comes with Danny's reputation, you'll want to see this movie. Critics might not like it, but when do they actually like a movie that the rest of the world does.
redyeah

While the movie contains all the vulgarity, gore, and mindless raunch depicted in the trailers, Your Highness also displays something seemingly missing from many a film these days, a fun time. I haven't laughed so hard in quite a while. From the sets, to the locations and costumes everything says serious (sorta) fantasy adventure film....then the movie starts.
Oh what a start, Danny McBride shows that he can craft a well written film that leaves the audience both cracking up and being taken away at the same time. I enjoyed the chemistry between the stars on-screen and it really shows how much fun actors can have when they are purposely making a film to simply have a fun time.
There's heart and soul in this movie. The director handles well the fantasy backdrop and that combined with the already mentioned writing, really does succeed in making a laugh-out-loud movie experience that has plenty of fun, action, and a few odd surprises!

Fun fun over the top comedy with constant nods to other films and shows! Great make-up, effects and monsters! Some of the best fake blood I've seen for a while, too! Duh, there's swearing and nudity, this is made for Adults!! Must see if you appreciate non main stream humor and movies!
