For anyone who delights in living their life true to themselves, I highly recommend this terrific movie. Most notable is the performance of Terrance Stamp who we all know and love as one of the all-time great movie villains. Here he plays an aging transexual who has seen it all and is taking stock of where she is and where she believes she just might want to be. Stamp is simply brilliant! and his performance alone would be worth the price of admission. As a matter of fact, the entire cast is fabulous. The vistas of Australia are to die for sumptuous as are the costumes and this is a gorgeous film visually. It is glam to the trillionth degree. I stumbled upon this movie by accident on television this evening and all I can say is, sometimes when you least expect it, you find a real gem! This is a great film and I look forward to adding it to my permanent collection.
